Naloxone (NARCAN®) Distribution Initiative
Pottawattamie County Public Health, in partnership with Iowa HHS, provides free naloxone kits and training to community members, empowering individuals to respond confidently to opioid overdoses.

- Quickly reverses an overdose by blocking the effects of opioids
- Can restore normal breathing within 2-3 minutes
- Is safe to use even if opioids are not present
- Can be carried and administered by anyone
