Ambassador for Peace Medal Ceremony

The Korean government has issued a commemorative medal to United States veterans who served from June 25, 1950 to July 27, 1953, as well as to veterans who participated in UN peacekeeping operations until the end of 1955. This medal may be awarded to the veteran or posthumously to the veteran's next of kin. We invite eligible veterans and their families to apply for the medal with our office.  Once the medals are issued by the Korean Consulate, we will host a medal ceremony to honor veterans of the Korean War in our community.

Applications can be picked up in our office or downloaded here.  Please submit a copy of the veteran's DD-214 along with the application. DD-214 must show dates served in Korea as well as receipt of the Korean Service Medal (KSM), Korean War Service Medal (KWSM), or the United Nations Service Medal (UNSM). Applications can be submitted to our office during regular business hours.
