Request to Present at a Board of Supervisors Meeting

Helping Pottawattamie County residents access resources starts with strong community partnerships. If your nonprofit or community organization would like to share information, resources, or opportunities with the public by presenting at a Board of Supervisors meeting, we welcome your request.

Presentations may include (but are not limited to) community resources, upcoming events, awareness efforts, and volunteer opportunities that benefit Pottawattamie County residents. Requests are scheduled on a case-by-case basis based on topic relevance and available meeting time. Submitting a request does not guarantee approval or placement on a Board agenda. 

Board of Supervisors meetings are held on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. at the Pottawattamie County Courthouse in Council Bluffs.

Request timeline

To allow time for scheduling and coordination, presentation requests should be submitted at least 21 calendar days in advance. Please include 2–3 preferred meeting dates when you reach out.

Presentation length

Most presentations are scheduled for 10–15 minutes, including time for questions and discussion from the Board.

Materials (optional but encouraged)

Organizations are welcome to provide printed or digital materials to accompany their presentation.

• Digital materials: If you would like materials displayed in the hearing room, please email digital files by the Wednesday before your scheduled meeting.

• Printed materials: If you plan to bring handouts, please provide seven (7) copies.

What to include in your request

When contacting Public Relations, please include:

• Organization name and primary contact information

• A brief description of what you would like to present

• Who the presentation will benefit (county residents, a specific audience, etc.)

• Any time-sensitive dates or deadlines

• 2–3 preferred meeting dates

• Any materials you plan to provide (digital and/or printed)
