Arrowhead Park in Neola has been named a finalist for Best Attraction in Pottawattamie County in the 2026 Omaha Metropolitan Area (OMA) Tourism Awards. Now the community has the opportunity to help it earn the top spot. 

The OMA Tourism Awards celebrate standout attractions, hotels, restaurants, and retail businesses across Pottawattamie and Douglas Counties. Winners are determined by public vote, highlighting the places that make our region a destination for both residents and visitors. 

As one of Pottawattamie County’s premier outdoor destinations, Arrowhead Park is the perfect setting for anyone wishing to spend more time in nature. It features a wealth of outdoor recreation opportunities including fishing, camping, basketball and volleyball courts, and woodland hiking trails.  

A Destination for Every Season 

Operated by Pottawattamie County Conservation, Arrowhead Park is a year-round recreation area known for its scenic beauty and wide range of outdoor experiences. 

Located just outside Neola, the park offers: 

  • Modern cabins and lakeside camping 

  • A 17-acre lake for kayaking, canoeing, and fishing 

  • Miles of hiking and multi-use trails 

  • Nature-based programming and events 

  • Winter recreation opportunities when conditions allow 

How to Vote 

Public voting is open now through 11:59 p.m. on April 2. 

Community members and visitors can cast their vote by visiting: https://www.visitomaha.com/oma-tourism-awards/vote-pottawattamie/ 

Voters will be asked to register and follow the instructions to complete their ballot. Voting is limited to one vote per person per day. 

Celebrating the Best of Our Region 

Winners of the OMA Tourism Awards will be announced during National Travel & Tourism Week (May 3–9) through promotional videos and billboard advertising across the metro area.
