More Than 20 Appointments Remain for September 23 Blood Drive

More than 20 appointments remain available for Pottawattamie County’s community blood drive tomorrow, Wednesday, September 23, and community members are encouraged to roll up their sleeves and help fill the remaining openings.
The American Red Cross blood drive will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Public Health Training Room, 515 5th Ave. in Council Bluffs.
Donors of all blood types are encouraged to make an appointment. Those who come to give blood during the Red Cross September promotion will also receive a $15 e-gift card to a merchant of their choice.
Pottawattamie County’s previous community blood drive in July collected 32 units of blood. Each blood donation can help support patients facing emergencies, surgeries, cancer treatments and other serious medical needs.

Appointments can be scheduled through the American Red Cross website using sponsor code PottCounty or through the Red Cross Blood Donor App.
