MET IN REGULAR SESSION

The Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 10:00 A.M. All members present.  Chairman Shea presiding.      

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Chairman read the Public Comment Policy statement.

1.         CONSENT AGENDA

After discussion was held by the Board, a Motion was made by Miller, and second by Jorgensen, to approve:

1. October 13, 2026, Minutes as read.
2. Buildings and Grounds – Employment of Brian Knauss as a Maintenance Worker II – Jail.
3. Communications – Employment of Cassandra Erwin and Heidi Van der Heijden as a Telecommunicator I.
   UNANIMOUS VOTE.  Motion Carried.

2. PUBLIC COMMENTS

No Public Comments.

3.   SCHEDULED SESSIONS

Brandy Wallar/President and CEO, New Visions Homeless Services appeared before the Board to give an update on New Visions Homeless Services.
Discussion only.  No Action Taken.

Motion by Jorgensen, second by Jones, to approve and authorize Board to sign a Mills and Pottawattamie County line road maintenance agreement.
UNANIMOUS VOTE. Motion Carried.

Jeff Franco/Executive Director and Kim Wickersham/Office Coordinator, Conservation appeared before the Board to present the Pottawattamie County Conservation Board’s Annual Report for FY 2025/26.
Discussion only.  No Action Taken.

Jeff Franco/Executive Director, Conservation appeared before the Board to present Crescent Hill at Hitchcock Installment Payment Check to the Board of Supervisors.
Discussion only. No Action Taken.

The Board discussed outsourcing union negotiations.

3. Crescent Ski Hill – Employment of Evelyn Duitsman, Melanie Cave, Olivia Robinson, and William Shannon as a Kitchen Staff Team Members.
