Council Bluffs, Iowa – Pottawattamie County Public Health invites the local community to an open house on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Public Health Services Building located at 515 5th Avenue, Council Bluffs, IA 51503.

This event offers a unique opportunity to explore the range of essential services housed within the facility, which opened to the public in November 2024. Services and departments within the building include Animal Control, Environmental Services, Health Services, Community Health, WIC, the county Medical Examiner, Disease Investigation, Epidemiology, and more.

“We want the community to see how many public health resources are available to them in one place,” said Maria Sieck, Public Health Administrator. “This isn’t just about the building, it’s about what happens inside it every day to serve and support the citizens of Pottawattamie County.”

Guests can enjoy guided tours of the building, meet with staff from each program, and learn more about departmental highlights, service usage data, and photos from the building’s construction. Light refreshments will be available.

The event is free and open to the public, and no RSVP is required.
