Nature needs heroes and you’re invited to answer the call at the 22nd Annual Go Wild for Conservation Fundraiser on Thursday, September 11, 2025. Hosted by the Pottawattamie Conservation Foundation, the evening will benefit habitat restoration, county park improvements, and environmental education programming for all ages. Proceeds also support the Gary & Beth Matters Environmental Education Scholarship Fund, which helps provide free field trips for every school in Pottawattamie County.

Guests will enjoy a dinner catered by Block 16, music, a selection of Full Fledged beers, and Tito’s Vodka and lemonade. The evening will include both silent and live auctions set against a backdrop of beautiful riverside views at The Landing on the south side of Council Bluffs. Rounding out the event will be a wine and spirits pull that will make this year’s event a can’t-miss celebration of nature and community.

"Every dollar raised at Go Wild directly supports the places and programs that connect people to the outdoors right here in Pottawattamie County," said Jeff Franco, Executive Director of Pottawattamie Conservation. "Whether it’s restoring vital habitat, improving our county parks, or ensuring every student can take a free field trip to experience the outdoors, this fundraiser truly makes a lasting impact."
