Training is for public safety, government officials, critical infrastructure partners, and lifeline stakeholders unless otherwise noted for the general public. If you have any question on eligibility to attend, contact Emergency Management at 712-328-5777.

Training Initiatives

Training is a key component of preparedness; for public safety, government officials, private stakeholders, and citizens. Training is the mechanism utilized to educate responsible officials, managers & personnel regarding their duties in relation to the Comprehensive Emergency Plan. 

Emergency Management promotes training by hosting courses, providing courses, and facilitating training for government officials, public safety agencies, and community organizations with community lifeline response and recovery responsibilities.

Types of training provided, include:

• Incident Command / Emergency Operations Training
• Incident Management & Public Policy Training
• Fire & Rescue Service Training
• Emergency Medical Services Training
• Traffic Incident Management Training
• Community Awareness Training
• Incident or Support Function Specific Operational Training
