Like training, exercise is a critical component of preparedness. Exercises are evaluated activities that test and validate components of the Comprehensive Emergency Plan and associated procedures. Exercises allow responsible officials, managers and personnel to test their abilities to implement plans in a response scenario. The results of the exercise are used to update or amend plans based on the evaluated results.
