Secondary Roads Dust Control

Pottawattamie County does not provide dust control for residents. It is the responsibility of the homeowner to contract a local contractor to apply the dust control material. Pottawattamie County does not guarantee the effectiveness or the quality of the dust control treatment. Pottawattamie County will provide a list of approved vendors, but all questions and or concerns should be handled between the homeowner and selected contractor. The contractor will submit their applicant list to Pottawattamie County for pre-treatment road maintenance.

Pottawattamie County reserves the right to perform normal maintence through areas of dust control if necessary, without liability.

For the 2024 Season, all applicants must be signed up and submitted to Pottawattamie County by April 29, 2024 in order to receive pre-treatment maintenace, for the first application. There will be no exceptions to this deadline.
