Looking for a great, socially distanced activity to get your family outdoors? Join us each month at Hitchcock Nature Center & at Botna Bend Park for our self-guided Little Tike Hikes! Hit the trails to explore nature & used posted activities to interact with the world around you. Activities are designed for learners age 3 to 5 but are great for anyone who wants to take a few minutes to look at nature in a new way. Each hike is out & back style, with activities posted along a .25 to .3 mile section of trail, making it a .5 to .6 mile round-trip hike that is very kid friendly. Touching nature is encouraged!

Hikers are welcome to participate anytime during regular park hours of 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily. To make your visit the best it can possibly be we recommend wearing weather appropriate clothing that you don't mind getting dirty, & closed toe shoes are always your best choice when hiking. As the weather warms up you will want to bring water & maybe a snack to enjoy, just remember to carry out your trash please. Finally, don't forget the sunblock & the bug spray, they will come in very handy!
