Summary
Pottawattamie County Public Health is seeking a part-time nurse practitioner. This will be a contract position and the individual in this role will not be a Pottawattamie County employee.
An individual in this position will provide family planning services which include preventive services and education, with a focus on vulnerable populations to improve health outcomes.
Services are regularly provided at the Public Health Clinic in Council Bluffs and once a month at satellite locations within a 5 County region of Cass, Mills, Harrison, Monona, Shelby in Southwest Iowa. Travel is reimbursed.
Pay will be discussed with interested applicants.
Essential Functions
Examples of services to be provided include preconception counseling, education, general reproductive and basic infertility health care, and prevention, diagnosis, and/or treatment of infections and diseases.
Essential Education, Certification, and/or Licenses
Must be a Licensed Nurse Practitioner
I have been blessed to work with a great group of people. Not only on our IT team, but also my co-workers across the county. I am partial to the IT group since we work so closely together. They definitely exhibit a "team" philosophy helping each other out and stepping in when needed. It is fun coming to work and awaiting the day's topic of discussion. Very entertaining and lighthearted. Each day is definitely a new day. ;-)
