County Park Memberships Receive a Refresh

There have been some exciting changes at your favorite county parks since membership levels were last updated in 2021, so our team decided it was time for an overhaul that better reflects our offerings. Memberships may be purchased online or at any Pottawattamie County park pay station.

All memberships include:
- One year of waived park entry fees to the following Pottawattamie County Conservation parks: Arrowhead Park, Botna Bend Park, Hitchcock Nature Center, Narrows River Park, and Olde Town Park
- A subscription to our monthly e-newsletter with news and upcoming events,
- Invites to members-only events and pre-registration, and
- A 10% discount on gift shop merchandise at Hitchcock Nature Center’s Loess Hills Lodge.

Important Information: All permits and certificates will be mailed within 14 business days to the address on file for your membership account. Permits and certificates are valid until the end of the month of the following calendar year. You will receive an immediate email confirmation with additional details, including how to take advantage of your membership before your permit arrives by mail. We are not able to honor canoe/kayak rentals, lift tickets, camping, or cabin stays until you receive your certificate and can present it on-site. Thank you for understanding!
Your annual membership helps:
- Cover transportation costs and offer scholarships for over 1,600 area students for school nature field trips
- Provide equipment and training for the study of birds of prey at Hitchcock Nature Center
- Fund park and campground improvements and habitat restoration projects
- Expand outdoor recreation opportunities available at your county parks
- Secure long-term funding for evironmental education, recreation, and land stewardship for generations to come
