Dyke Family Donates Arrowhead Water Fountain in Memory of Jerry Dyke

Of Neola, IA, Jerry Dyke loved taking his dog, Mickey, for walks at Arrowhead Park.
“He was an avid walker and probably came out about four times a week during his retirement,” Arrowhead Park Range Dave Fischer said.
After he passed away in 2019, his family thought of the perfect way to remember Jerry: donating a drinking fountain that serves our four-legged friends, too.
The fountain, which includes a dog waterer, was installed on Saturday, May 21st near the park’s pay station by Ranger Fischer. The Dyke family (pictured), including Jerry’s wife Carolyn, sons Nick and Rob, grandchildren Avery, Brady, and Kaylee, and family dog Mickey helped commemorate it.
Pottawattamie Conservation is incredibly grateful and honored by this thoughtful donation from the Jerry Dyke Family Memorial that allows Jerry’s memory and love for the outdoors to live on. We take solace in knowing that Jerry found peace at Arrowhead Park, which is something we hope for every one of our visitors.
