Disaster Case Advocacy Program related to the April and May 2024 storms ending June 24, 2025

In-person disaster case advocacy assistance in Pottawattamie County will conclude on Tuesday, June 24, 2025. The Disaster Case Advocacy program will no longer accept new cases related to the April and May storms after June 24, 2025. We encourage residents who need support related to the April and May disasters to reach out for assistance before this date.
Disaster Case Advocates are still available to assist survivors affected by the June disaster.
Reach a Disaster Case Advocate through the following options:

- Call 515-675-1884, Monday – Sunday, 7 AM - 7 PM
- Email DisasterCaseAdvocacy@iowa.gov
Advocates can support you with:
- Navigating FEMA, Insurance, SBA, and other processes
- Applying for programs and assistance
- Identifying and accessing new resources
- Developing a home repair or rebuild plan
- Creating a unique recovery plan with steps to reach your recovery goals
- And more, based on your disaster-related needs
