A tornado outbreak occurred on April 26th delivering damages to homes, businesses, and infrastructure in 5 primary locations across the county. Minden, rural areas of Crescent, rural areas of McClelland, rural areas of Treynor, and the west end of Council Bluffs resulting in 4 injuries and a fatality.
A MARC is a one-stop shop assistance center for disaster survivor information and service delivery. Pottawattamie County has announced two upcoming dates for an established MARC, with approximately 15+ organizations available for assistance.

Available assistance at the MARC will include family store vouchers, emotional/spiritual care, rental and housing assistance, access to enroll in the Iowa Individual Assistance Grant and Disaster Case Advocacy programs, unemployment assistance, resource referrals, food assistance, environmental and personal health safety information, recovery information, legal advice and representation, home repair assistance and referrals, and more.
