Operation 22 Til Freedom has a Christmas Fund that sponsors Veteran families.  Applications are due by December 5th.  Applicants must have a DD214 showing discharge status or VA Benefits Summary, the last 30 days of pay stubs, and proof of dependents under the age of 18.

The Salvation Army offers holiday assistance to families in need.  Call the Council Bluffs Salvation Army at 712-328-2088 for more information.  

Open Door Mission has the Project Santa's Toy and Joy Shop Program for low-income families with children ages birth to 12 years old.  Applicants must bring their each child's birth certificate and social security number to the Council Bluffs Outreach Center at 1612 Avenue D. Registration is every Tuesday from December 7 through December 22.  

New Visions will hold a Holiday Celebration on December 16, 2023 at the Iowa West Sports Plex in Council Bluffs to provide assistance for Iowa families in need.  To register, complete the online form or call 712-322-7570 and ask for Stephanie.
